Speaking about text-to-speech feature, it is always integrated on Android smartphones but we think we need another one since text-to-speech is one of useful features. Well, indeed the inconvenience is not a matter at all, especially doing something useless for example by complaining since Android also allows giving the alternative TTS engines. IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ could be a good example to be the alternative so it is okay to work with it.

Features & Use
We have tested the application on Samsung Galaxy S where is no modification but rooted with android version 4.0.4 and in the beginning, you will be asked for email address so if you doesn’t receive any updates for INOVA, this is the time for you to hit the link about confirmation email. Then, a popped-up browser window will show you where to download the language pack and other data.
There will be notification that your INOVA is not the current TTS engine so you have to change the setting to use the app. Once you have done it, you can go ahead unless you wish to download more about the language packs.
There are some English accents and we have tried US and OZ English but it was so pleasant. The app runs in conjunction with other apps such as Google Maps for your navigation.
Screen & Controls
Honestly we think that both the controls and set up are not quite ideal. There is no set up assistance which means that we are redirected to a website as the place of second app that you must install to get IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ to be performed. So let’s hope the best since the app is still in beta phase.
Speed & Stability
IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ has a good performance during the test. The voice could flow without lagging and it is great.
