Android 4.4 comes with a fresh look as Android operating system and it is completed with design changes such as new Google Experience launcher and also a transparent system tray. The status icons also have been changed to a complete white. As we know that the previous look is a default blue. Here are some reasons from Google developer related to the changes.
There are a lot of Android users got a bit mystified related to the change since the blue represents a connection between the Google servers and also the device. The blue sign will be changed to a greyish color when the connection is interrupted. Now, the connection turns to white look, which means if there is an interruption it will change to orange-red colors.
Dan Sandler, the developer of Google said that there are two reasons related to the color change for Android 4.4. He left a comment on Google+ that the blue icon seemed not fit well with the latest update especially the transparent strips. Well, most Android users do not know about the purpose of different colors include blue and gray.
You could also find out another change which has shown in this update version Android 4.4 that is a small arrow which indicated the data is being sent or received. Again and again, KitKat is only work when you use Quick Settings so that it gone all from the status bar. According to Sandler, it shows the indication about some arrows that have effects especially on GPU and also CPU, so it is removed because of the minimal effect albelt.
Now, how do you think about the color change? Do you think that it is bothering for you? Well, it is a new change so it does not a matter for you.
